Fortius League
Big Congratulation to
Martin Hulbert for winning the Fortius
League and to Claude Desrosier,
Dave Lazenby and Mike Williams for giving him
some competition at the top of division A.
Well done to
Kasia Marszalek for the first Lady and being
join 5th overall. in a good battle with Pawel Burzynski..
At the bottom of the A division there are
some good riders going down to B Mark
Payne, Martin Williams, Jörgen Jinnelid,
Steve Newton and Harald
Wittmann.
In division B
Laurens Snoek took the honours despite an
injury for the the last round which stopped him getting 100 points in every
round, a good all round effort on a Fortius trainer. So he goes up to division A
along with Steve Mackintosh, Onno Koopmans, Andrew Miles and Ken Wilson.
A good battle was had at the Bottom of
division B with Keith Denton and Rein
Menke. The shorter rounds favouring Keith and I also think that Rein had a knee
problem that would not allow him to go full belt. With both on the same points
there is a problem as to which one stays up. The one who has the fastest ride in
the first round was how we were going to sort out an tie between riders.
So the riders going down at the moment are
Neil Smith, Katherine Denton, Baz
Duncan, and Tom Varga.
The top of C division was claimed by Peter
Lawley who is very good at the short distances on the Fortius trainer.
Jason Robson ,John Crossley, Boud Maesen
and Ken Sandars are the other riders who will be going up to B division.
Lets hope they all ride and give the riders in the B division something to worry
about.
The Riders who use the Fortius Trainer have
had their own battle and again Peter Lawley ended up top. He had a rare
old battle with Laurens, and again Laurens last ride was hampered by injury.
Jim Bruckart, Rein Menke, and Keith Denton
had some interesting battles and in the next league will be joined by Brian
Botfield and Steve Newton to try to make up ground on Jan Snoek.
Kattherine Denton and Sarah Denton
continued their battle on the Fortius with Katherine just coming out on top.
All in all a very good league 3. The very
poor weather helped to boost numbers in the summer months I think but it was
still surprising jut how many took part.
Thanks to all the riders that took part and
I hope with the addition of the team event in the Fortius league League 4 will
be even more competitive and enjoyable.
